Title: MATH DEPARTMENT HEAD (.4 FTE) AND MATH TEACHER (.6 FTE)

 

Position Summary: Wayland Public Schools seeks a visionary instructional leader and expert practitioner to serve as the High School Math Department Head and Classroom Teacher. This dual role requires a candidate who can balance high-level administrative oversight—including staff evaluation and curriculum mapping—with an active, student-centered teaching load. The successful candidate will drive departmental excellence through a lens of anti-racist pedagogy, data-informed instruction, and collaborative leadership within the High School Instructional Leadership Team.

Supervisor/Director (or Principal/Assistant Principal) desired

Salary Range: Commensurate with the WTA Salary Scale (inclusive of Department Head stipend and additional work days) Example: Master’s through Master’s +30 range $95,754 -$126,651

 

Work Schedule: 

The contract year for Department Heads will begin September 1 and end June 30.
