Knowledge of the developmental needs of preadolescents and adolescents, including their academic, social, and emotional needs Experience in special education and supporting students with diverse learning needs Provide academic support to students with special needs in both specialized and general education settings Support access to curriculum in English Language Arts, science, social studies, and mathematics Adapt and scaffold instructional materials to meet individual student needs Assist students in organizing and managing academic workload and classroom participation Support student participation in classroom routines and activities Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement instructional and behavioral supports Monitor and support students’ academic, social, and emotional development Participate in training to support student physical and/or behavioral needs Work collaboratively with school and district staff to ensure equitable access to learning Contribute as a collaborative member of the Student Services team QualificationsEducation: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Previous experience working with middle school students is highly preferred.
